Switch from Karakeep to Linkbry
Karakeep (formerly Hoarder) is a self-hosted bookmark-everything app with AI tagging. Teams switch when they want a hosted, shared library instead of a server to run. Linkbry reads Karakeep's JSON export directly.

Export your bookmarks from Karakeep's settings as JSON, then upload the file in Linkbry under Workspace settings → Import & export. Links, titles, tags, notes and dates come across; lists and non-link items (text notes, uploaded images and PDFs) don't.
- In Karakeep, use the export in its settings to download your bookmarks as a JSON file.
- Sign in to Linkbry and open Workspace settings → Import & export (or press ⌘K and choose Import).
- Choose the JSON file. Linkbry reads each bookmark's URL, title, tags, note and date.
- Links arrive unfiled: select them in bulk and move them into folders, or filter by the imported tags first.

Imports take up to 20,000 links (10 MB) per file, skip links already in the workspace, and stop at your plan's link limit. Export steps for other tools are described in general terms; their menus may differ.
Rebuilding your lists as folders
Karakeep's lists aren't read by the importer, so everything lands in one place. The quickest way to rebuild them: filter by a tag, select all, and move the links into a folder in one go with bulk actions. Tags you relied on for grouping keep working as they are.
